Market@June 27: Day's report

Software stocks opened firm in the morning and remained at higher levels in the first half of the day. Satyam witnessed heavy selling pressure and this impacted other stocks also coming under seling pressure in the last hour of day's trade. The fall was significant from the highs.

Non-software stocks remained dull. However, stocks like MTNL, HLL and Telco managed to attract huge investment buying. Trading volumes were reasonably high on both the exchanges.

Sensex up 20 points at 4690, Nifty up 3 points at 1454.
