Harsha, Do u think cricketers in India ought to be better paid? Considering the hard work that goes in and the responsibilities that they sport on their shoulders, I think the financial reimbursements that they get is pittance. And I am not talking of the test level only!!

Gavaskar is a businessman now, and not a cricketer. He is minting money out of his past attachment with the sport.

ARVIND: I AM NOT CAMPAIGNING FOR ANYBODY. ANYBODY WHO BATS AT NUMBER SIX IN A DECENT BATTING SIDE CANNOT GET TOO MANY OPPORTUNITIES. HE RUNS THE RISK OF BECOMING A SLOGGER AND CANNOT, ALMOST BY DEFINITION, BE CONSISTENT. THAT IS ONE THE REASONS INDIA HAVE ASKED JADEJA TO BAT AT NO.5. Harsha: I do not think that applies to the hierarchically lower level players such as Harpinder singh.... (ones who play at Ranji level). It was astonishing to hear from few of such players as to how they are treated when these guys go for out of town matches.

Hey, I think Jadeja is a fighter and that is what we want, not guys like Shasthri and Kambli, Mongiya who have a record for not playing for their team.

Gavaskar gave a team based on performance in international as well as domestic matches. Shastri reeled out the Mumbai team (well, most of it at least)

Harsha, I think there is no shortage of skills in India. So many times they played so well that they looks unbeatable. I think India needs right kind of attitude. And also there is no shortage of money. What do you think?

I think we need a full time trainer to get the fat off our players and to increase everybody's upper body strength. arm strength like Sri Lanka has.
