Patrick Ian Pocock
Pat, or ‘Percy’ as he was known, had outstanding ability as an off-spinner but failed to live up to expectations for most part of his career.
The one time he did was in India. He played an important part in England’s triumph in India in 1984/85, when he bowled 237 accurate overs and took 13 wickets in the five Tests. He toured India in 1972-73 and 1984-85.
