Western Australia vs South Africa

Acting captain Mark Boucher stepped in with a swashbuckling century to save South Africa on the opening day of the first major game of the Proteas' Australian tour at the WACA. Boucher, the side's wicketkeeper, smashed his way to a century off 106 balls in just over two hours, hitting 16 boundaries against state side.
He finished with 134 (21 fours), his highest score in first-class cricket, before being dismissed just before stumps.
