When Donald first made his mark in cricket, South Africa was still isolated by the cricketing community on account of its apartheid policy. So he decided that the only way to make a name for himself was to play county cricket.

It was in 1987 that he finally had the chance to play county. Warwickshire approached him and he was on his way to England. But it wasn't the money that attracted him. It was the challenge.

Donald went on to claim 516 wickets at 20.60 for the club which is great by any standards.
