In the recent tri-series against South Africa and New Zealand, Waugh made just 126 runs at an average of 21.00 and the selectors finally succumbed to the pressure and dropped Mark.

With Steve out of the squad too, it remains to be seen whether the 'Junior' Waugh can force his way back into the ODI squad.
