"Gary Kirsten was outstanding in both innings and probably the difference between the two sides," said England skipper Michael Vaughan after the defeat.

Kirsten's 190 runs in the Test, including a century in the first innings on a pitch where batsmen struggled to score, earned him the man of the match award.
