Arbitrator sets aside ban on Ajay Jadeja

Justice J K Mehra, the arbitrator appointed by the Delhi high court, on Monday set aside the five-year ban imposed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India on Ajay Jadeja for his alleged involvement in match-fixing. Jadeja had challenged the decision to ban him from playing cricket for India after an inquiry commission headed by K Madhavan endorsed the Central Bureau of Investigation report indicating his involvement in the match-fixing controversy. However, after a few hearings in the high court, Jadeja agreed to take the matter to arbitration and the court appointed Justice Mehra.
