England vs South Africa

First Test, Day 2 | Scorecard

England captain Nasser Hussain walks out to check the pitch. Rain came in as a saviour for England after they were totally outclassed by South Africa on the opening day.

But the day's wash-out was good news for England as Marcus Trescothick, who fractured his right index finger on the first day of the Test, indicated that he will be able to bat.
