A hosanna for Hussain

Hussain resigned as England's Test captain after coming to the harsh conclusion that his style of leadership was a thing of the past.

He was, at times, branded as stubborn, defensive or an even boring captain, but as long as he was winning, few questioned his tactics. But Vaughan's success in the ODI series had the critics clamouring for Hussain's blood.

The decision to give up the captaincy was unexpected, but there's no doubt that he guided England well and made it a competent side. Will Vaughan be able to take them that one step further?
