Patelscope

It was truly a youth camp.

What else would you call one which had a coach who is ineligible to vote? Fine-tuning a 12-year-old batsman's backlift or working on the run-up of a puny leg-spinner, India's 17-year-old wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel was all sweat and smiles as he went through the motions of coaching at an entertainment centre in Mumbai last Saturday.

As one parent put it, "It is like tomorrow's star training day after tomorrow's."
