May 02, 2003 15:33 IST

Mumbai have retained the victorious 15-member semi-final team, led by former Indian new ball bowler Paras Mhambrey, for the crucial Ranji Trophy final against Tamil Nadu, starting at the Wankhede stadium on Sunday.

Mumbai Cricket Association joint secretary Ratnakar Shetty said the selectors were more than happy with the players' performances in the semi-final against Baroda and decided to retain the same squad.

"Leg spinner Sairaj Bahutule will be Mhambrey's deputy while Vinayak Samant will keep wickets," Shetty informed.

The team: Paras Mhambrey (capt), Sairaj Bahutule (vice-capt), Wasim Jaffer, Vinayak Mane, Bhavin Thakkar, Amol Mazumdar, Nishit Shetty, Ramesh Powar, Vinayak Samant (WK) Ajit Agarkar, Avishkar Salvi, Nilesh Kulkarni, Swapnil Hazare, Robin Morris and Vinit Indulkar.

Standbys: Vijay Singh, Abhijit Shetye and Rajesh Pawar.

Coach: Chandrakant Pandit.

Manager: Arman Mallick.

Physio: Dr Vipul Chavda.
