Caught in the act

September 1996
Pakistan cricket manager Javed Burki confirmed that his bowlers had tampered with the ball during the 1996 Test series against England.

December 1997
Australian players accused South African captain Hansie Cronje of ball-tampering during the Sydney ODI. Cronje was cleared by match referee Cammie Smith. Later, South African coach Bob Woolmer dismissed the allegation as a part of the Australian ploy to demoralise the visiting team.
