Tendulkar added 128 for the fourth wicket with Ramesh before being caught by David Hussey off Inness.

India finished the day at a respectable 266 for 9. At close, diminutive wicket-keeper Parthiv Patel, on 52, and Ashish Nehra, who was still to open his account, were holding fort.
