The New King!

A delighted Hayden after scoring the first triple century in his Test career.

He reached 300 in 362 balls; his knock included 33 boundaries and 8 sixes. The third hundred came in just 70 balls.

'I have been fortunate to be involved in two pieces of history. First, Stephen Waugh's innings in Sydney (when the skipper scored a career-saving century against England) and now Matthew Hayden's record-breaking innings, simply amazing and just reward for his perseverance,' said wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist.
