First ODI

Inzamam-ul Haq, who captained Pakistan in Rashid Latif's absence, scored an unbeaten 56 from 48 balls.

He also reached the landmark of 9,000 runs in his 291st one-day international on Tuesday. He is now the fifth highest run-scorer in one-day international history behind Sachin Tendulkar (12,219 runs), Mohammad Azharuddin (9,378), Aravinda de Silva (9,284) and Sanath Jayasuriya (9,126).

Every one of them a South Asian!
