Day 4: Report

V V S Laxman looked to be in superb touch as he scored 99 runs off just 125 balls. He was unlucky to miss out on his century by just one run as he was caught by Vinayak Mane off Sairaj Bahutule.

Laxman and Dravid put together 168 runs for the fourth wicket to take their team to a dominant position.

Before this match, Laxman had played five games for the Rest of India and scored 394 runs at an average of 49.25 with a century and two half-centuries.
