April 08, 2004 22:03 IST

Pakistan wicketkeeper Moin Khan and all-rounder Abdul Razzaq have been ruled out of next week's third and final Test against India in Rawalpindidue to injury.

Moin is suffering from a groin problem and Razzaq from a back strain.

The pair also missed the second Test in Lahore, which Pakistan won by nine wickets on Thursday to level the series 1-1.

"Moin and Razzaq have not recovered and will not be able to play the final Test," Samiul Hasan, media manager of the Pakistan team, said.

"They have been released from the Pakistan squad and their replacements will be named tomorrow," he added.
