Pathan to miss 12th standard exams again

February 19, 2004 23:21 IST

India's latest pace sensation Irfan Pathan will not be able to appear for his 12th standard examination to be conducted by the Gujarat School Certificate Examination Board next month.

This will be the second time that Pathan will be missing the exams. Last year he missed the exams when he was included in the India Under-19 team for the World Cup.

Pathan, however, has requested the authorities of the MES School to forward his application to the board requesting them to conduct his exams after the completion of Pakistan tour.

Though Irfan had said that cricket is everything for him, he also likes to give equal importance to the studies.
