Zaheer passes fitness test

Fast bowler Zaheer Khan passed the fitness test and will be eligible for selection for India's remaining matches in the Asia Cup cricket tournament.

The Baroda pacer underwent the fitness test under the supervision of team physio Andrew Leipus and trainer Gregory Allan King in Colombo on Thursday.

Zaheer, who broke down midway through the series in Australia and Pakistan last season, injured his quadriceps muscle in the group match against Sri Lanka on Sunday.

He missed the first match of the second phase against Bangladesh on Wednesday.
