Tendulkar visits McLaren headquarters

Batting genius Sachin Tendulkar, holidaying in Europe with his family, paid a whirlwind visit to top Formula-1 team McLaren-Mercedes' headquarters in Woking, Surrey, on Wednesday.

Tendulkar, whose love for fast cars in well-known, was invited to take a tour of McLarens's state-of-the-art headquarters by their top driver Kimi Raikkonen.

"Kimi Raikkonen extended an invitation on behalf of the West McLaren Mercedes team for Sachin Tendulkar to visit the McLaren Technology Centre," McLarern's Clare Robertson told said on phone from London.

A thrilled Tendulkar, sporting a bright orange shirt, also tried his hand at driving the trademark steel-black McLaren racing car.

Tendulkar had met Raikkonen during the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona on May 9.
