Australia vs England

Andrew Symonds, returning from suspension after staying out late before the Australians' opening fixture of the tournament, made 73 from 81 balls to lift his team.

Symonds and Damien Martyn struggled for fluency in the middle overs against accurate bowling but made do with ones and twos despite having seven wickets in hand.

The Australian all-rounder, who also took one wicket, was named the man of the match.

When asked what would he do with bottle of champagne? "I think I might give it to charity," he replied.
