India vs Pakistan, 2nd Test - Day 1

Report | | Ball-by-ball commentary

India skipper Sourav Ganguly won the toss and elected to bat. Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh was brought into the side in place of Zaheer Khan.

Pakistan bowlers Mohammad Sami and Mohammed Khalil used the short ball to try and curb Virender Sehwag's strokes.

But the dashing batsman and his opening partner Gautam Gambhir gave India a solid start of 80.

Sehwag was out after scoring 81 runs, off 114 balls, including 14 boundaries.
