Muralitharan out with hamstring injury

Sri Lanka [Images] off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan was left out of the team for the sixth one-dayer against India on Wednesday due to a hamstring injury.

The visitors were asked to bat first by Virender Sehwag [Images], deputising in the absence of regular captain Rahul Dravid [Images], who is himself nursing a hamstring injury.

India's premier batsman Sachin Tendulkar [Images] returned to the team after being rested for the previous match.

Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh [Images] and left-arm paceman Irfan Pathan [Images] were also included after sitting out of the previous game in Ahmedabad, which Sri Lanka won by five wickets.

India's batting was boosted by the return of one-day specialist Mohammad Kaif, who missed the first five matches of the series due to a hamstring injury.
