Sachin Tendulkar [Images] scored his third hundred to steer celebrity side Lashings Cricket Club to a 26-run victory over a Taunton School Invitation XI.

The Indian batsman's 101, after which he chose to retire, helped Lashings World XI put on 223 for three in 30 overs.

Former Sri Lanka [Images] captain Aravinda de Silva also thrived, scoring an unbeaten 101, in the match at Somerset on Tuesday.

In reply, Taunton School Invitation XI could make 197 for 9 in 30 overs.

Joe Cooper top-scored with 52 while Simon Manley scored 42.

Clare Connor (5/36) and Chris Harris (2/26) took the wickets for Lashings.

Tendulkar, seeking a comeback to international cricket following shoulder surgery in March, signed up with the Kent-based club for a short stint in order to test his fitness in match situations. He scored 155, 147 and 98 in the three previous matches.
