IIn one of the other rooms sat the MLA from Godhra, Harishbhai Bhat. He has a huge moustache. He has been campaigning in Bhopal for the last Three days. He is moving to Rajasthan next.

While he is campaigning he never mentions Godhra and concentrates on local issues. Compared to the state roads in Gujarat the Highways were worse here he claimed. His moustache was not inspired by the sandalwood smuggler Veerappan but a left over from his days in the Indian Airforce.

He retired from the service in 1982 after serving for 15 years. When he was standing for elections in Godhra the Congress had called him an outsider. He retaliated with ‘ O.K. I agree that I am not from Godhra but I am in Indian , I am not from Italy’.
