Show me da money!

Money maketh man. Money also changeth man.

Sunny Deol Man in question being Sunny Deol.

Fast at the heels of his filmmakers' shock over having him report to the sets on time, sans cancelling a single schedule and working two shifts, comes the blinding truth: The man needs money.

Da Deol has just launched a new film and needs money for the project. That, of course, needs a steady stream of da moolah.

Since the moolah comes in from the instalments that his producers give him as soon as he completes their film, Sunny is going all out to get his films over and done with.

Cuba Gooding Jr, eat your heart out!

Three-time patch-up? Oh, brother!

Dharmesh Darshan

Nothing like a generous serving of kiss-and-patch-up, we say.

Siblings Suneel Darshan and Dharmesh Darshan, for example, have now sheathed their daggers.

For those who need a quick memory jog, the two brothers almost duelled in the sun, post-Lootere, which had Suneel producing to Dharmesh directing the home production.

A few new years later, Dharmesh will now direct the next film produced by Suneel for their home production once again. Karisma Kapoor and Akshay Kumar

What's more, Suneel has managed the impossible. That of getting Dharmesh to kiss and make up with his Raja Hindustani heroine, Karisma Kapoor.

The bait, it transpires, was staid enough: The script that Dharmesh dangled under Karisma's nose.

Dharmesh's new film will have Karisma costarring with Akshay Kumar and Abhishek Bachchan.

Now, Suneel got so carried away, patching up with his brother and sorting out the differences between him and Karisma that, he decided to try his luck with bridging the rift between Dharmesh with Nadeem (of composer duo Nadeem-Shravan).

Apparently, tempers rose to boiling when Nadeem suddenly vanished from India and left the director in the lurch in the midst of the recordings of Dhadkan.

Nadeem Shravan Insiders swear that some of the tunes and lyrics for the film had been set by Dharmesh, approved by Nadeem-Shravan, but finally left for Dharmesh to execute. Dharmesh swore never to work with such unprofessional people.

But bro Suneel intervened. And Dharmesh has agreed to work with Nadeem-Shravan for their Abhishek-Akshay-Karisma film.

However, only time will tell if they will all make some great music together!

Model actress? Not quite

What is it about the Hindi film industry that just begs unprofessional behaviour?

Now, we always knew for a fact that the modelling industry prides itself on its professionalism.

But ever since top ranking model Aditi Gowitrikar decided to join Bollywood, she is said to be riding a horse too high to rein in. Aditi Gowitrikar

Not only did she revel in throwing a tantrum from day one of the shooting of Adeep Singh's Mukt, opposite Sanjay Kapoor, she is also reported to have walked out of the film after shooting for just a little over five days.

For those curious enough to want to know why, she feels that the role is rather inconsequential and there are others who are giving her a better deal.

No cause for giving her directors a raw deal over that now, is there?

Introducing Raveena, the agony aunt!

This is for all those sceptics who pooh-pooh at good cinema improving your character.

Case in point being Raveena Tandon. Ever since her foray into parallel cinema, the actress has improved her cinematic prowess.

More of interest right now is that it seems to have brought about a change in her character, too. For the better.

Raveena Tandon As Ravs herself confided to a close friend, ever since she moved out of the close confines of a private bungalow to a penthouse, she has made it a point to interact with her neighbours, her drivers, maids and other staff members in and around her apartment.

It so happens that these interactions are knock-down-drag-out, in-depth problem-solving sessions.

Hmm. Got a problem? Dial R for Raveena!

Reality bytes!

Shah Rukh Khan and e-partner Juhi Chawla are a bit, shall we say, not technowise?

At a time when the dotcom mania is passe, they go full steam with their new portal, srkworld.com.

True, at the launch party, SRK was in his element, regaling and wooing all and sundry with his charm. Shah Rukh Khan Juhi, for her part, sat in the front row of the audience and not on the dais. Because she did not want to look a fool (she whispered sheepishly to a buddy that she barely knows the intricacies of logging on).

Shah Rukh, meanwhile, insists that he has roped in Rekha, Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukherjee, Sushmita Sen and Namrata Shirodkar to sign up on his site.

Reality bytes. And how. The naked truth is that only Juhi has signed up. And, squeals an insider, "The others are yet to be talked into it!"

Rekha summed up her feelings -- and probably that of her colleagues -- quite succinctly when she allegedly remarked, "Why should I come under the SRK umbrella? In fact, he should come under mine!"
