If only the story line were be novel. Screenwriters John Harrison and Robert Nelson Jacobs have taken generous helpings from Disney's The Lion King and Tarzan.
The scene when Plio discovers Aladar and expereinces maternal pangs, in particular, is a straight lift from Tarzan.

But what makes Dinosaur a must-see is clearly a perfect convergence of live photography and outstanding animation. Kids and science students should not miss this dinomite of a flick.
