Tipu Sultan's back!Syed Amin Jafri in Hyderabad After the mega serials, The Sword Of Tipu Sultan, The Great Maratha, Jai Hanuman, Shohrat, 1857 Kranti, Maharathi Karan, Jannat, Disha and Sindoori, Sanjay Khan's Television channel, Numero Uno, is going to have a different genre of serials -- for a different kind of audience. Color Chips (India) Limited, a leading player in the field of 2D and 3D animation and feature syndication, and Sanjay Khan's Numero Uno International Limited, one of the best in the field of TV production, announced the signing of an agreement for development of content for the proposed TV serial Twinkle Magic, on February 23. The content will be in the form of stories for live action interspersed with animation, cartooning and caricatures for the serial. Announcing the tie-up at a news conference in Hyderabad, Sudish Rambhotla, managing director of Color Chips (India) Limited, said it was a strategic alliance which would enable his company to leverage its strengths in content development and animation. He added, "The content that we will providing for Twinkle Magic will be developed to suit the Infotainment needs of children. The show will revolve around good, clean, non-violent, realistic, educative and sophisticated entertainment. "As the show will be based on subjects that are educational and entertaining, it will be radically different from the conventional cartoons that today's children are conditioned to viewing." Elaborating on the strategic alliance, Sanjay Khan said, "Twinkle Magic is produced for telecast on Doordarshan and possibly other satellite channels. Primarily a live show, it will be interspersed with animation, cartooning and caricature content which will be provided by Color Chips. "With a treasure of 27,000 stories, a bank of over 240 popular characters and a well-equipped animation studio, Color Chips will play an important role in our future projects. "The serial presents surprises, unexplained happenings and a sense of adventure that will always interest the young mind. Targeted at a young audience in the age-group of 4 to 15 years, Twinkle Magic will showcase historic episodes from Indian and international folklore and mythology. It will also consist of various segments covering adventure and general knowledge."
