Recently, Abhishek Bachchan decided to stage a walkout.

Venus Films was the chosen one. The film in question had him opposite Priyanka Chopra, also costarring Bobby Deol.

Abhishek Bachchan, Arjun Rampal The shooting for the film was to commence when the producers were suddenly informed that Abhishek did not have the necessary dates.

Luckily, they found a replacement in Arjun Rampal,.

Curiosity being what it is, we decided to find out why the walkout. We found this: One of the reasons is that Abhishek is doing a film with Karan Johar, under special request from daddy Amitabh Bachchan.

Another reason is because director duo Abbas Mastan has apparently declined to direct a film for Amitabh’s home production.

And Amisha throws her weight!

Amisha Patel Here's another walkout story: Amisha Patel has called it quits with Cheetah Yagnesh’s film, Yahoo.

This, after the entire publicity campaign and shooting for the film.

Reasons? Apparently, dates, and the fact that Amisha prefers to team up with younger heroes.

Or is it is the success of Gadar - Ek Prem Katha, which prompted Amisha Patel to work in solo heroine films? (Yahoo also stars Juhi Chawla in an emotional role.)

Or maybe Amisha is turning the tables on Govinda, considering he had walked out of her film, being directed by Tanuja Chandra. It was also a film that Amisha was banking heavily on -- being a heroine-oriented film.

Married but not married!

The ideal bahu of the most popular television serial, Kyun Ki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Smriti Malhotra is married.

Smriti Malhotra (left) and Ektaa Kapoor The lady doth seem most reluctant to reveal that facet of her life. And if you've guessed that she is doing so under pressure from producers Balaji Telefilms, you would be right.

It is not so much that Ektaa Kapoor does not want her to expose her marriage but because Smriti has married a divorcee -- and a father of two.

Zubin Irani, Smriti’s husband, was married to the topnotch model coordinator Mona Irani. Whether or not Smriti was the cause of the divorce or whether she stepped into his life after the breakup is not known.

But Ektaa is making sure that Smriti’s Tulsi image remains intact.

Also that her serial is not harmed in any way, since even after the completion of a year, it enjoys the highest TRP ratings any serial in India has ever enjoyed.

Hero or anti-hero

Just a few days ago Sonu Nigam was not sure whether or not he would make a debut in front of the camera.

But a week after the mahurat of his film, directed by Ravindra Peepat, opposite Juhi Babbar, Sonu Nigam signed up to play one of the leads in Raj Kumar Kohli’s film which has about ten heroes.

Sonu Nigam But this has not perturbed Raj Babbar in any way. On the contrary, Raj Babbar seemed only too happy to have Sonu essaying a role in Kohli’s film, as his aside proves.

As Raj whispered to a close colleague, "At least we will not have to take the trouble of coaching Sonu and making him comfortable in front of the camera. He can even out his creases on Kohli saab's set and report for our shooting polished and more at ease!"

Incidentally, though Sonu is the hero of the film, he has a relatively smaller part, while anti-hero Sharad Kapoor is the one with the meatier role. In fact, he is virtually the hero of the film as well!
