The ditty dozen!

It seems to have been an easy transition from music videos to films for director Anubhav Sinha.
Super Cassettes' latest offering Tum Bin not only introduces a new director but four newcomers too: Rakesh, Himanshu, Priyanshu and Sandali.
Tum Bin has a lengthy soundtrack with 12 songs by Anubhav Sinha regulars Nikhil-Vinay and lyrics by Faiz Anwar. The composer duo was at the helm of hit pop albums like Jaan and Yaad.
The album kicks off with the hummable Chhoti chhoti raatein by Sonu Nigam and Anuradha Paudwal. Not surprisingly, the track is already climbing the countdown charts.
Another melodious ditty, Tumhare siva, has the ever-dependable Udit Narayan and Anuradha Paudwal lending their voices. Ghazal king Jagjit Singh comes up with another winner in Koi fariyaad.
Dekhte hi dekhte is reminiscent of Tujhe dekha to yeh jaana sanam (Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge). It is fairly engaging with Paudwal and Abhijeet doing the honours.
Follows Sonu Nigam's emotional Meri duniya mein. This melodramatic song has two versions, the second rendered by S Shailaja.
Zoom boombura is a foot-tapping dance track with some funky beats and pep by Sonu Nigam. This is music director Ravi Pawar's creation.
Daaroo vich pyaar brightens up the scene. This is a Westernised hiphopish track by Taz with bits of rap by Hunters. Could well turn out to be a hit. And the same can be said about the sizzling Suru ru, by Sonu Nigam.
Up next, Tum bin and Pyar hamko hone laga are just about average romantic numbers.
