What: The Veterinary Council of India invites applications for its entrance exam, AICEE Examination 2005.

Successful candidates will be enrolled for the five-year Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry degree. This includes a six-month rotating internship programme.

Date of Examination: May 8, 2005.

Are you eligibile?

You must have passed the 10+2 education system with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and any other elective subject with English as prescribed by the NCERT with at least 50 percent marks, or an equivalent qualification as prescribed in the Veterinary Council of India -- Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education -- Degree Course (BVSc & AH) Regulations, 1993.

OR

You must hold a B Sc from a recognised university with at least two of the following subjects -- Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany/ Zoology) -- having passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, with a minimum of 50 percent marks.

You can also apply if you are appearing for the qualifying examination in March/ April 2005.

You must be at least 17 years as on December 31, 2005.

How to apply

~ Please obtain the information bulletin and application form on payment of Rs 750 by a demand draft drawn in favour of the Veterinary Council of India, payable at New Delhi on the State Bank of India or any other Scheduled Bank.

~ Please send two plain paper slips with your complete address and pin code and a self-addressed, unstamped envelope of 24 cm x 18 cm.

~ Cash/ Money Order or any other form of payment will not be accepted.

You can also collect the information bulletin and application form in person on payment of Rs 700 by a demand draft drawn in favour of the Veterinary Council of India. payable at New Delhi on the State Bank of India or any other Scheduled Bank.

Time: 10 am to 12 pm; 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm.

When: January 3, 2005 to February 16, 2005.
