What: The Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, announces the IISc Young Engineering Fellowship Programme.
Those who qualify will be offered an opportunity to undertake high quality academic research through a goal-oriented summer mini-project undertaken at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

~ Electrical Communication Engineering
~ Supercomputer Education and Research Centre
Are you eligible?
~ You should be doing your B E/ B Tech/ B Sc (Engg)/ Integrated ME / M Tech degree programme.
~ You should have an outstanding academic background with a high rank in university examinations.
~ It would be ideal if you have
The duration of the project
~ The contact period for the project will be two months, normally May-July 2005.
~ Depending on convenience, the selected candidates can undertake the project at any time subject to availability of the faculty.
~ Further, one can split the contact period into two parts and complete the project.
Stipend and travel allowance
The fellowship offers a maximum sum of Rs 6,500 for meeting expenses in connection with the reimbursement of tuition fees, purchase of books and other expenditure related to the project work.
Second class to and fro train/ bus fare by the shortest route (one time only).
Free boarding and lodging (on shared basis) on the campus during the project period.
How to apply
You would need
~ Your original study certificate from the head of your institution/ registrar/ university.
~ Attested photocopies of the marksheet issued by the university
~ Attested photocopies of rank certificates, papers presented, design contests participated in, projects executed, score/rank in Mathematics Olympiad, any other awards/distinctions obtained, etc.
~ A two page write-up on the intended project work at IISc.
