People have to bear some burden: SinhaA day after Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee spoke of imposition of fresh taxes in the coming budget, Union Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha has said people would have to bear some burden of the problems the country was plunged into in the wake of Gujarat earthquake. "Given the situation today and the problems confronting us, the people of the country should and have to bear some of the burdens," Sinha told reporters in Ranchi. He said after the quake in Gujarat the media had speculated fresh taxes would be imposed. "When reporters asked me about this, I told them that I won't react to speculations.
