Market@February 12: Day's report

Sentiment for software stocks improved smartly during the second half. Wipro and Himachal gained more than 2 per cent each.

DSQ software, Zee and Silverline also recovered smartly. NIIT gained more than 6 per cent.

Among the old economy stocks, banking and pharma stocks recorded impressive gains. Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Corporation Bank, Hindalco, and Dr Reddy Laboratories were major gainers.

L&T, Telco, ACC, Tisco, Grasim and Tata Power remained under pressure.

Sensex up 8 points at 4406. Nifty down 4 points at 1402.

Bank of Baroda, Corporation Bank, Smithkline Pharma, Kesoram, Kodak, Tips, Century Enka, Parekh Plat.

Gainers: Between 5 per cent and 7.89 per cent
BPL, NIIT, Fujitsu ICIM, Novartis, Bank of India, Kopran, GSFC, ONGC, Fulford.

Losers: Between 7.9 per cent and 16 per cent
Saw Pipes, CESC, Soffia Software, Atlas Cycles, Shri MM Soft.

Losers: Between 5 per cent and 7.89 per cent
Telco, Shyam Tele, LML, Atlas Copco, Hotel Leela, Zuari Ind, EID Parry.
