Ashok Wadhwa, MD, Ambit Corporate Finance Ltd, expressed his approval of the Budget and said he was very pleased to note that the FM did not get carried away with indiscriminate taxation. He added that although Sinha could have done anything with the power invested in him, especially keeping in mind the recent Gujarat quake, he did not do so. Instead, he chose to carefully study the tax structure and then proposed the changes and rationalisations.
