China to be major destination for Indian exportsChina will emerge as a major market for Indian exports with Beijing joining the World Trade Organisation, senior Chinese embassy officials said on Wednesday. China's imports stabd at a mammoth $200 billion, which would increase further, commercial counsellor in the embassy of People's Republic of China Du Chengping said at a seminar organised by the Federation of Indian Export Organisations in New Delhi. Taking into account the size of the two economies, bilateral trade between India and China is a meagre $3.5 billion, he said. Chengping advised Indian businessmen to take advantage of the increased purchasing power of the Chinese people. The items of interest to bilateral trade are information technology, pharmaceuticals, bulk drugs, chemicals, agriculture, marine products, gems and jewellery, fabrics and mineral. UNI ALSO READ:
