Bajaj Auto Nov bike sales up 17%

Aided by growth in the executive and premium segments, Bajaj Auto Ltd has clocked a 17.4 per cent rise in motorcycles sales at 91,257 units in November over 77,732 units sold in the same period last year.

In the executive segment, the Caliber 115 and Wind 125 together accounted for 21,855 units, up by 77 per cent compared to sales of 12,319 units in the same month last year.

In the premium segment the Pulsar twins recorded a 45 per cent rise in sales to 26,572 units compared to 18,327 units last year, the company said in a release in Mumbai on Monday.

The total two wheeler sales stood at 113,164 units (112,874 units in November 2002).

Exports for last month showed a 89 per cent rise with 15,424 units, compared to 8,149 units a year ago.

Sales of three wheelers were up by 36.8 per cent at 21,199 units (15,493 units). This includes 1,712 units of Bajaj GC 1000.
