June 17, 2003 13:39 IST

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India on Tuesday extended the deadline to June 30 for service providers for filing their revenue sharing agreements, which have to conform to Interconnection Usage Charges regulation.

"According to IUC Regulation, 2003, dated March 27, all service providers were required to file revenue sharing agreements with Trai latest by May 16. Trai was in receipt of various representations from service providers expressing their inability to file the revenue sharing agreements by the stipulated date and sought an extension of the same," a statement said in New Delhi.

Following the demand by the industry, Trai has decided that "all revenue sharing agreements which have to conform to the IUC regulation will now need to be filed with it latest by June 30, 2003," it added.
