Birla Home offers loan at 7.5%

November 20, 2003 14:51 IST

Birla Home Finance on Thursday launched a special scheme by offering loans at 7.5 per cent across all tenures.

The scheme would be valid only for a limited period till November 30, Birla Home Finance said in a release.

A company official, however, told PTI, if needed, the scheme could be extended.

Birla Home Finance expects to sanction home loans of around Rs 400 crore (Rs 4 billion) and disburse around Rs 300 crore (Rs 3 billion).

Taking the cue from soft interest regime, banks as well as housing finance companies are on a rate-cut spree, which had pulled up the demand in housing sector, market sources said.
