GAIL sale roadshows from Feb 20

A roadshow for the public offer of 10 per cent government equity in the public sector gas transmission unit -- GAIL -- would be flagged off on February 20 in Mumbai and thereafter move across key destinations like New York, Singapore and London.

According to sources, the sale documents were filed with Registrar of Companies yesterday and the roadshows have been scheduled to begin from February 20 in Mumbai.

The domestic leg of the roadshow for the Gas Authority of India Ltd public offer, which is scheduled to open for bids on February 27, would be held in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Chennai.

"The roadshows would be held in Singapore and New York on February 23 and 24, and in Boston on February 25. It would be held simultaneously in Hong Kong, Chicago, San Diego and Los Angeles on February 26 and February 27," sources said.

A roadshow would be held on March 1 in London and San Francisco and on March 3 in Edinburough.

GAIL chairman and managing director is expected to be present during the roadshows along with the company's director finance and officials from ministry of petroleum and natural gas.
