Salman’s offscreen relationship with Aishwarya Rai, which started during the shooting of this film, showed onscreen.

HDDCS was also the first film in which Salman and stepmother Helen acted as mother and son in the movie. They had earlier appeared together in Khamoshi but did not share screen space.

The actor also stars in Bhansali’s under-production film, Bajirao Mastani.
