Saif has rarely carried a film on his shoulders. Most of his movies see him in a supporting role, like Yeh Dillagi (Akshay Kumar), Main Khiladi Tu Anari (Akshay Kumar), Kachche Dhaage (Ajay Devgan), Hamesha (Aditya Pancholi).

This Ram Gopal Varma production sees Saif in a stellar role for the first time, though the film revolves around Urmila.

The thriller, loosely based on Hollywood’s Double Jeopardy, shows Saif with negative shades in his character.

Ek Hasina Thi is scheduled for a December 26 release.
