After playing author-backed roles in Subhash Ghai�s Taal and Sanjay Leela Bhansali�s Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Devdas, Ash moves on to greener pastures with her first English film, Bride and Prejudice.

Directed by UK-based Gurinder Chadha, who was also at the helm of the international hit, Bend It Like Beckham, Bride and Prejudice is a Bollywood ishtyle musical adaptation of Jane Austen�s widely read Pride and Prejudice. Ash plays the prejudiced Elizabeth Bennett up against the rather proud Mr Darcy.
