Tirupati plans 300-acre pilgrim transit village

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has planned a multi-million pilgrim transit village at the foothill of Lord Venkateshwara's temple in Tirumala.

According to TTD executive officer M K R Vinayak, the 300-acre transit village will reduce pressure on the world-famous pilgrim centre. It will accommodate about 20,000 pilgrims.
