Two killed in Bombay wall collapse

In another devastating tragedy in the last 48 hours, two persons were killed, including one woman, and three others were injured when a wall of a one-storeyed building collapsed on the adjoining slum-dwellings at Amar Nagar, Khindipada in Mulund, north-east Bombay today.

According to fire brigade sources, the wall of the building collapsed around 1.15 pm, trapping six persons in the debris. Five fire engines rushed to the spot and rescued five people from the debris, two of whom were declared dead. The injured also included a woman.

One person is still reported to be trapped in the debris, sources informed. The injured have been hospitalised and further details are awaited.
