Rs 8 million worth crowns presented to Tirumala temple

Two diamond-studded crowns, worth Rs 8 million, have been donated to the Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh, by a Calcutta-based industrialist.

The crowns will adorn deities Sridevi and Bhoodevi, consorts of Lord Venkateswara.

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams joint executive officer P Balasubramaniam received the offerings from the industrialist, who had earlier presented a diamond crown worth Rs 4.5 million to the processional deity, Lord Malayappa Swamy.
