NSCN threatens govt officialsThe banned National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Issac-Muivah), which said it would boycott the general election in the North-East, has threatened Manipur government officials with 'dire consequences' if they went for election duty. An official note said the militant organisation had 'ordered' the Tamenglong district deputy commissioner and sub-divisional officers of Tamenglong, Tousem and Tamei not to perform election duties on February 16. A few days ago, NSCN (I-M) extremists had publically burned electoral rolls in the Tamei sub-division. UNI |
