Lyngdoh ministry quits

The 139-day-old B B Lyngdoh ministry in Meghalaya resigned on Monday, to pave the way for installation of a new ministry comprising his United Democratic Party and the Congress.

The chief minister submitted his resignation to Governor M M Jacob, urging him to accept it and invite him to form a coalition ministry with the Congress, Opposition leader D D Lapang said in Shillong today.
