Lohe is Nagaland assembly speaker
Zhdevhu Lohe, a legislator from Chizani constituency of Phek district, was unanimously elected speaker of the Nagaland legislative assembly yesterday.
Lohe was the lone candidate for the post. His name was
proposed by Chief Minister S C Jamir, and Pro Tem Speaker Khudsatho Nyusou declared him elected.
Lohe was the parliamentary affairs minister in the Jamir
ministry.
Earlier, Nyusou administered the oath of office to all the 60 members of the House.
